Going Rogue started in 2020 the way most good things do. On a whim. A few friends, some instruments, and nowhere else to be. Backyard jams turned into block parties, block parties turned into bar gigs, and now we're playing all over the Shore.
We're not trying to be everything to everyone…. it just kind of works out that way. With sets built to keep the whole room moving, we put our own spin on things, blend genres, and throw enough surprises in to keep even the regulars on their toes.
What does that look like? You might catch us grooving with chill reggae tunes at a beach bar. Or you might catch us in the midst of a high-energy rock n’ roll set. Other times, we’re playing country sing-alongs everyone knows, and we’ve been known to throw down a hip-hop dance party or two. Whatever the vibe of your venue, we’ll match it and keep the party going all night.
We’re playing beach bars, breweries, pubs, restaurants, casinos, and private events up and down the Jersey Shore, from Cape May to Atlantic City. Come see what all the buzz is all about, or reach out to book us for your venue or event.

Matt handles rhythm guitar and vocal duties for Going Rogue. He’s been a fixture on the local scene for a few years now, playing with acoustic duo Petty Cash. He brings the energy, the laughs, and keeps the party rocking.

Backing VocalsNot only is the good Dr. responsible for most of the heavy guitar work, he’s also been known to play a mean Melodica, and he absolutely bodies any hip hop verse thrown his way. Trust us, you’re gonna want to see him do his thing.
VocalsMichelle Patterson
Michelle joined the Going Rogue crew in the summer of 2025, bringing a whole new vocal element to the band’s sound. Catch her crushing songs like Zombie, You Oughtta Know, Teenage Dirtbag, and a whole lot more.
BassBill Morris
In addition to having the best hair in the game, Slick Fingers Willie holds down the low end for the band. His bass lines will keep your head nodding, and if you’re lucky, you might catch him contributing to backing vocals as well.
DrumsANDREW BAIRD
Andrew has been behind the kit, playing in bands for longer than he probably wants to admit. In addition to keeping the beat, he keeps the shows moving and does his best to keep this crazy train on the tracks.
